Original

I don't really know where to start here...nearly everything was exceptional. It was very original, considering the fact that I don't think I've seen anything close that's about a floating bag that does wonders. It was well done, and I had a few favorite parts in it, like when the bag swallows the guard in one gulp. It wasn't without its flaws, however, as the art can definitely be improved, but I imagine that happening naturally over the years as you continue animating (hopefully!). The song didn't seem to fit very well with the video either: an orchestral composition in a comedy? But I grew to liking the awkwardness of it as the flick progressed. The last thing is that the ending scene carried on for too long. The random acts in the beginning occurred for less than a minute, so I lost a bit of interest as I realized the fight was going to take up the rest of my time watching this. It was still laughably funny and I could tell it wasn't rushed. Those are just three complaints of a video I deem worthy of a daily, or better yet, a small weekly award!

Brewster responds:

Yeah I agree that the art wasn't my best. But I'm glad you like it!

That was so brilliantly simple!

You used the age-old tale of the belief of aliens to just get across the point of how fast the world can communicate and work together to get out a piece of information? That's amazing! I couldn't come up with anything more unique that could further make this video useful, easy to understand, and charming at the same time! Great job.
But I think it would take a LITTLE longer than two minutes to walk to a science facility, examine a subject, send it to multiple processors, write a report, have the president give a speech, create an article and video, and then launch multiple piloted rockets into space. Other than that...

TommyVF responds:

Haha, yes I agree, I had to excaggerate heavily, so I put a clock on there just to make it crazy. Thank you for your feedback and I'm glad you enjoyed the animation!

One of the most charming things I've ever seen

At first I thought this was going to be made from regular Flash with an animated knight on an animated post-it on an animated whiteboard, but when I saw the message saying the video was in Stop-Motion and then the actually DRAWN OUT knight on a REAL post-it on an ACTUAL whiteboard, I knew what I was watching was going to be awesome. As the winged steed came into view and landed to assist the knight, I was at the point of laughing because I wasn't at all expecting that sort of uniqueness and charm. The homemade sound effects fit right in with the amateurish style of the video, and the light Zelda music playing in the background added to the appeal of it. I also just can't shake off the feeling that the whole thing was done like an after-school activity, and the video was being made to be presented to the class.
Overall, I didn't think anything fell short at any time. I completely know how hard it is to do Stop-Motion, how thousands upon thousands of pictures need to be taken and re-done, and that pictures still need to be shot even when objects are standing still, just to give them a more life-like look and the sense that nothing is ever truly still. I can't even start to imagine the number of post-its that were used. I'm not taking off for a few weird spots here and maybe what looks like a mis-taken shot there, as those add to the essence of how everything seems to have been made in a class-room.
Review in short: those post-its are going in my Favorites file forever.

Wow, awesome review.

It was done for a high school class, haha. The teacher just said make a stop motion video, split us into groups, and we were the only group that actually worked every day. I remember we ended up skipping other classes to working on this more, too actually. This went on for 2 weeks, with 70 minute periods a day.

I find it funny how it sounds like people are actually using this to make an account name, but then again, I guess it's more than just a 'fake tutorial' as the flash seems to refer to itself. It was still really enjoyable, and I liked it a lot.

LewToons responds:

i find it funny how in the first 30 minutes of the toon being submitted, someone already snagged "loopylion" and a few others tried to get it as well! haha. (its not my alt)

Streetlights are no guarantee from assassins in the dark. You are one false move from losing everything you are! Sat along a busy wall of senses, it's a smoke screen. With slight trepidation, it must have eluded your memory...
